Origin Races of the Known World
The Known World is infinite in its growth and potential, and as such growth pushes great change between every era, new faces take shape. As time has progressed since the age of Primal Races, a wide variety of creatures have emerged to bring forth a new era of change to a land already changing. From the wyverians of the skies to the arachne hidden deep below, these walks of the world have become the standard of the Known World’s population. Their territories, kingdoms, nations — all of them vary in some fashion. While these races of the world have likely warred or aligned with one-another, they all still co-exist by some means, living amongst one-another if they so choose.
And as current times go, these creatures have found themselves in a strange new part of the world. While other races exist in the Known World, it is these races that have become the most prominent in finding Andromeda. The stars have guided them here, after all.
Each of these races bear their strengths and weaknesses, but what truly matters in the end is how they choose to live in this strange part of the world. Regardless of what they choose to do, fate follows behind, just like the stars above that watch…
Below you will find the list of all playable Origins in the Andromeda server. Each Origin is equipped with their own active skills, passive abilities, perks, and negative conditions that will offer a unique playstyle to the gameplay of Andromeda. Additionally, every Origin below offers specific lore to their own race, which can be used optionally to influence your backstory when writing your application.
It is important to note that your character’s Origin is permanent and cannot be changed after selecting your Origin race in-game.

Beast Origins of the Hunt
The Beast Origins are a classification of different races that share the commonality of being predatory creatures, to some primitive means. As times have changed since ancient events, the qualities and instinctual attributes of these races no longer apply to personal classification. As of the current timeframe of Andromedian history, the four most prominent members of the Beast Origin Category are the silk-weaving Arachne, the undaunting Fenrkin, the unstoppable Manticore, and the flame-bearing Wyverian.
Spirited Origins of the Fae
The Fae Origins are a classification of those who originate from the far-off regions of the Fae. These are creatures who, by nature of the Known World, are whimsical and wild beings who nurture the magic of their mystical homeland to traverse the world. Although most may travel from their home, the nature of the Fae never leaves them. The talented and trickster-like Faerie and the quick and unhalting Satyr are the two most well-known races from the Fae, both of which embrace the unique mysticism and wild nature of the land.
Esoteric Origins of the Mystics
The Mystic Origins are a classification of races that are often viewed as a rarity in the Known World. More than that, these races are unique in nature and are bearers of unique magic that only they can channel to a degree — magic that is, in some way, respectable and, to a wider extent, controversial. Although unique, they match the requirements of becoming a race normal to the world today. The serpentine and magic-dwelling Gorgon, the death-defying Lichling, and the mysterious Veilborn occupy this category of Origin races.
Seaside Origins of the Depths
The Seaside Origins consolidate the list of races originating from the seas of the Known World. Their powers and gifts are all bestowed by the unique magic of the tides, and as a result, these creatures channel the waters to persist upon the ocean and even land. Even if they must leave their territories, they find comfort on the land through their own means. Of current times, the most prominent figures of this group include the sea-nurturing Nereid, the careful and caring Selkie, and the enchanting and sonorous Siren.
Living Origins of the Known World
To classify other races that do not particularly belong in any category, they fall under this collective name. These are creatures who bear no ties to a specific region of the world, but they are still native to the world we know. As it stands, only humankind is the primary entry for this group of races.
