Server Guides

Here, you can find guides on certain server mechanics such as land claiming, establishing a courier office, and initiating foreign trade through shops.

Land Claiming

An expensive but worthwhile task, claiming land in Andromeda protects it from outside influence. Click to learn how to claim land.
  • Head to Corsicana and search for the Land Claim Shop (located at 478, 73, 266).
  • Purchase your Bonus Claim sheet, each sheet worth varying amounts of gold. Once you purchase your Bonus Claim, you can right click with it in your hand to increase your total number of claims.
  • Press the apostraphe key ( ‘ ) to open the ‘Open Parties and Claims’ menu. You can check your available claims and your current party as well.
  • To claim your land, simply press the ‘Claim’ button, and the chunk you are in will automatically be claimed by you! If you ever need to unclaim a land, you can press the same button to unclaim that chunk.
    • Alternatively, you can type [ /openpac-claims claim ] to claim your area.
Rules to Land Claiming
  • You cannot claim too closely to other players’ claims or areas, unless if there is an approved reason between both parties and staff.

Courier Offices

Sending packages is an important job in the world of Andromeda. Click to learn more about setting up an official Courier Office.

To be a courier is a calling in the vast lands of Andromeda. Between delivering physical packages and managing a post box, couriers are often busy and almost always traveling. To open a courier’s office, complete the following steps:

  • Write a letter of application to the leader of your settlement, detailing your intent and future plans. Mail it to them, along with an application fee of 50 silver*.
  • Make a story ticket to let staff know you have submitted your application.
  • Wait for an answer.
  • Once you are accepted, you must complete a week long trial period of only hand delivering items. You will log each delivery in the story ticket.
  • After the trial period, staff will give the courier a post box item, allowing them to send mail to any mailbox on the server.

*If the application is denied, the fee will be refunded. Additionally, the fee may be waived if the settlement does not have an active courier’s office.

Foreign Trade

Some items are not available in the area around Corsicana, but you can obtain them through trade with faraway lands. Click to learn about how to set up a foreign trading post.

Gaining access to the foreign trade system is not an easy task, but it can be lucrative. Once you have access, it requires detailed planning, regular orders, and following a Google spreadsheet for price changes based on international relations. You could focus on one niche, or create a general store. If the above interests you, follow the steps below to apply for a trading post.

  • Write a letter of application to the Town of Corsicana mailbox, detailing your intent and future plans. Mail it to the official Corsicana mailbox, along with an application fee of 50 silver*.
  • Make a story ticket to let staff know you have submitted your application.
  • Wait for an answer. If you are denied, staff will let you know why. If you are accepted, staff will have a conversation with you in the ticket to grant access to a spreadsheet and additional details.

*The application fee is refunded if the application is not accepted.

Additional Guides

Here you can find additional guides for the server for most purposes, such as roleplay.

Setting your Status

When loading up Andromeda and entering the game, it is a commonplace and recommended practice for all players to set their roleplay status! To open your Status UI, press the ‘U’ key.
  • (Left Side White) No Availability. This is the initial state you are in when you first load into the game. Players should ideally set their status to different one when they first load in.
  • (Left Side Red) Do Not Disturb. This status represents being ‘Out-of-Character’ or OOC. Players should set this status when they are not in-lore or are unavailable for roleplay.
  • (Left Side Green) Open. This status represents being in-lore or available to roleplay. Players should set this status when they are available for any form of roleplaying or lore interaction.
  • (Right Side Red) Recording. This status indicates that you are using recording software for the purposes of documenting lore or any gameplay in Andromeda.
  • (Right Side Purple) Streaming. This status indicates that you are streaming on a platform.
  • (X) No Sleep. This status check indicates that you, alongside any other player who have this checked, do not wish to progress the night when other players are sleeping. A message will inform players that you do not want the night to progress quickly.
